Mary volunteers at Giant Steps Therapeutic Riding, an equine assisted therapy organization located just north of San Francisco. The horse staff at Giant Steps, along with their human colleagues, provide physical therapy, but also emotional and mental therapy, teaching students calm body awareness and confidence.
