A Home Within was founded in San Francisco in 1994 and is the only national organization dedicated solely to promoting and supporting the emotional health of foster youth. More than 500 volunteer mental health professionals at A Home Within have provided free, weekly therapy to high risk foster children, teens and young adults in 24 states.
